Explore GNU Info/Texinfo as more than a manpage alternative

As pointed out on the fediverse it is a pre-HTML hypertext format particularly well suited for text-mode. A lot of people seem to feel it’s too “heavy” for man pages; but I also think it might have some potential in other applications.
