Last night Susan and I saw Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World at Pixar.
The best way to describe it is as a homage to my youth. From the very beginning, when the Universal logo appeared, I just knew it was gonna rock. The pacing is great, good acting, blah blah blah. It is a video game/comic/movie! Seriously!
It was great, and I met some cool people in line, where I got to geek out for 30 minutes about RPGs and card games!
Also(!), something else happened that was totally different from when I saw Toy Story 3 there, which was mostly non-Pixar people: they have a ritual that involves the ceiling of the theater! When the lights go down in the theater a star field shows, a really cool LED night sky, complete with shooting stars! And people do things when they see them! They have so much fun.
Now I need to go buy the rest of the comics, and the video game.
