Has anybody used Berkeley’s tool lending library? It’s part of the public library, I think. I always wanted to and never did before I moved away.
Also reading this comic makes me think of Debt: The First 5000 Years and how systematically indebting yourself to the people around you (and they to you) and nobody ever fully paying this stuff off might be the glue that makes human social bonds work…

We have, and Oakland has one as well, as the Temescal Branch. We are gonna check it out, probably next week, to get tools for gardening.
