A day of transition

Yesterday was inter-resting. Two transitions happened that I didn’t see coming. That’s only important at the end.

First, I assisted a co-worker in deciding to leave the company. It was about boundaries, expectations and communication. And everything is working out. In fact, it is probably the best possible way for something like this to happen.

Secondly, over the weekend, I decided that it didn’t make sense to hold on to the client I’ve had for over 7 years. We have a great working relationship, but it didn’t really make sense for any other reason, in light how I’ve grown my development and hosting business in that time. I am running into the wall of how scaling works, and how I want to handle it.

So I’ve grown and learned some new skills. And that I didn’t see it coming, but was able to bend with the wind, means I am in a good place, just outside my comfort zone, but still able to activate System 1 thinking.
