Saw somewhere promoting 2017 Nonprofit Software Development Summit | Aspiration which I thought might be something some people here have been to.
Aspiration Manifesto | Aspiration is pretty thorough and good and realistic and seems to date from 2009.
I am surprised to have never heard of the event or the manifesto, which is very good. I might consider going to this, seems like my crowd. 
“Our needs are different than everyone else’s” is an unsustainable vanity of the sector that leads to bad technology decisions.
Yes, yes I really like this manifesto.
