I have a note saying to look this music up, likely as I heard it somewhere and asked what was playing. Not bad, kinda like ambient EDM rock.
i like him. so do folks at apple and they used his stuff as a startup tone for an OS or something.
i’ve even gone to see him do a dj set at 1050 folsom. but he was coming home after a long tour and wanted to play weird shit. it’s always weird to be a fan of someone from where you are cuz they feel torn between playing the shit a normal fan is comfortable with or shit superfans would like or shit they’re simply not tired of playing. home audience problems.
i especially like Awake, which i am pretty sure is the name of both a song and an album.
it’s one of these things i’ve decided i still like even if i no longer like the person who exposed me to it. i’m doing the slow work of reclaiming things as something i’m allowed to like just by myself without a shadow. tycho and whiskey and dancing.
