This log is a couple days past, spent yesterday recovering: on Friday we drove from Oakland to Auburn, Grass Valley, and Nevada City.
We are looking for places in California more affordable than the Bay Area and less developed so we are surrounded by trees and fields rather than concrete and asphalt.
We like the area, and discovered some neat places we’d like to visit again. Driving that far is rough though, and our enthusiasm for the area has somewhat subsided by the pure logistics involved in trying to move to a new place 150 miles away, with no pre-existing connection…
