I woke up early today to finish up a few site changes and I noticed a black spot on the carpet in our living room about the size of a quarter (coin). It was wet, and the liquid odorless. I got a small cloth and placed it over, and went about my business, having no clue of what it was.
When folks woke up we investigated, S and I trying to figure out what could have made such a mark. We had that funny moment when one eliminates all other options, and both slowly looked up to see a small crack with a drop hanging from it…
We are on the top floor, and the darkness of the spot must have been the tar and other substances roofs are made from. I’ve contact the building manager and property company, but we haven’t heard back from them yet. Seems kinda important, but I don’t have a lot of confidence in this company.
And so, we could be going on vacation soon!
