This is Mitchell Baker, Executive Chairwoman of the Mozilla Foundation answering a question about the dangers to the open web due Chrome’s dominance. The bit in there where she mentions that there is a real chance that Mozilla may fail is heartbreaking. Mozilla is obviously thinking about this hard, because we all are. What I think worries me here, is that SHE sounds as bleak as I think things are; and I don’t like the idea of that bleakness independently verified by someone well positioned to know.
