I took an interest in this story, aside from all the good parts, in particular because it targets Kentucky, a state that constantly votes against it’s own best interest, and for what I’ve assumed was due to cultural isolation. Encouraging a creative economy will invite other progressive values, and that might change a poor, undereducated state that has way too much influence over American politics.
