I always prefer software deployed via a distro’s package manager, and have been waiting for snap/flatpak/{containers} to produce something I recognize, and I’m starting to see how flatpak is used. I like it.
I’m concerned by the prevalence of flathub.org as the place to get software. I hope people diversify that a bit. Also, I’m interested in using flatpak to distribute content, like text archives or localized web archives. Wow!
