I had wanted to keep a count of various activities and consumption in my life, a project I called an mgraph. I have my notes here: cups of tea, liquor, XP given in RPGs, notebooks written in, operating systems installed, etc.
I am writing this here as reference to myself, for when I wonder why I didn’t go through with it. It isn’t worth it. There are things worth spending the effort to measure, and we often neglect these and have no real sense of accomplishment, despite how meaningful the aggregate of our action is. But the things I wanted to measure, those aren’t them.
