just an update. i finally replaced the filter for the first time since i got it. pictured here is the old dirty filter next to the new filter. it… doesn’t do nothing.
discourse helpfully tells me it’s been seven months since my last post here. this time, i wrote down the date three months from now in sharpie on the new filter, like it tells you to, so i don’t forget to change it.
You ought to set a reminder on this topic! You can set it three months from now, and it will auto-bump it for ya. 
Turns out, @maiki will also auto-bump certain topics.
