Our family has a bunch of weird things going on today, so I ended up getting breakfast from Fountain Cafe, and a Red Eye from Red Bay… time to bounce off the walls?

good luck!

i’m very tired and feeling a bit sad. still calling places for appointments.

i’ve taken out old pens i’ve accumulated over the years and have been playing. it’s therapeutic. i got this ancient incredibly used dip pen and a bottle of water-based ink at a tiny hipster expensive general store in healdsburg once. i got a new calligraphy nib for like less than two dollars years ago for it on jetpens and never used it til now. you can see i have no idea what i’m doing cuz you can see me splitting the tines, haha. it’s fun anyway.

Followed up with a surprise lead for work I’ve done with the Bay Area Bike Challenges. I was actually on the committee that developed the rules for the first company team challenges here, about a decade ago. I also maintain https://bayareabiketowork.com/.

I hope I get to do some work with them, it seems really interesting; I just need to know a bit more before I can assess what I can provide.

I just finished Day 2 of dental work. I have some gum disease (Yay) so they did a deep clean, followed by a frigging laser to kill bacteria.

You haven’t LIVED until you see smoke drifting out of your mouth and smell your own gums getting burned with a laser.

Today we did parent-teacher assessments. C is at level for everything, and has great character, which is the important part.

Our kiddo is a model student, and it is painful how intentional C takes that “responsibility”. To the point that e seems stressed about how other students act. And yet, comes home and is mean and rude and we love Clover so much regardless. Very funny.

Don’t have kids.
