I wanted to know why Game of Thrones fans were upset about the last episode, and I figured that having stopped watching at the end of season one I wouldn’t be invested in the characters. Turns out I just don’t like bad things happening to anyone.
I would be bummed, if not for my family existing in a place where slaughters are not habitual. Also, we live on a planet where the self-proclaimed free world is influenced by a country that has the highest incarceration rate of its citizens per capita. I just don’t have the attention to give to fiction that explores the worst impulses of ignorant, spiteful humans.
